Security Operations Center Level 2 Analyst
On behalf of our client, a well renowned Global IT Company, we are currently looking for a SOC Analyst for a contract role based in Zurich within a banking project.
The role includes handling all security relevant alerts and events that are either escalated by SOC L1 or other teams in the bank. Proactively mitigating security risks by discovering new security breaches and escalating them based on predefined procedures and managing severe security incidents from the moment of the detection till their closure.
Tasks:
- Owner of the Level 2 incident management process (response procedure).
- Analyze, assess and mitigate security issues and incidents according to defined CSIRT processes.
- Assist first level security analysts in evaluating information security events and issues, being the escalation point of contact when required and escalated in Service Now (SNOW) tickets in the Queue "Security-Operations-L2-Global"
- Monitor the chat channel of mind-align "GTIS_SOC_ISC" within the defined SLA
Skills:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of IT security/Information Security experience, ideally in a Security Operations Center (SOC) of a large organization.
- Strong experience with SIEM solutions, especially on designing content to correlate events from several sources to detect security incidents in a complex IT environment.
- Strong experience in malware analysis, knowledge of reverse engineering would be an asset.
- Strong experience in network security, particularly in designing NIDS rules and handling DDoS attacks.
- Knowledge of UNIX system administration, including Shell Scripting.
- Ability to communicate IT security issues to other business areas in technical and non-technical language.
- Fluency in English, with proven drafting ability.
