SENIOR UNIX/Oracle DEVELOPER, SWITZERLAND, CONTRACT
One of our prestigious clients is currently looking to add an experienced Senior Unix/Oracle developer to one of their sites based in Zurich.
Responsibilities
You will be contributing to the design and the implementation as well as to the maintenance and 3rd level support of a set of applications including the respective base Infrastructure.
In addition to hands-on implementation and 3rd level support tasks you will:
- liaise with Business Analysis to contribute to requirements engineering process and respective reviews
- Work in close cooperation with IT Architecture and IT Security to agree on the design of any major change planned aligned with the solution's strategy and architectural principles
- conduct effort estimates for the project's engineering and integration tasks
- liaise with IT Production to agree on technical documentation to be delivered and other operational requirements to be met.
Essential Skills
Successful candidates should have 5+ years' experience in similar positions and are expected to have in depth knowhow and profound experience in the following areas:
- e2e software development life cycle including the integration of 3rd party components
- incident management, problem analysis in a complex environment with remote, multi-tiered installations
- SQL, PL/SQL, XML, Perl, Shell Scripting, packaging, configuration management
- Oracle product expertise, RDBMS modelling and development
- data management and migration
- UNIX (Solaris, Linux) experience as a developer is a must, experience as a system engineer would be a beneficial
- storage and archiving solutions, product knowledge of OpenText would be a plus
- IT Security (authentication, authorization, cryptography, certificate mgmt., etc.)
