On behalf of our client, a leading global company within finance, we are looking for a Head of Human Resources Technology. For this contract position based in Zürich in Switzerland our client is looking for an English speaking candidate who can start as soon as possible.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Keep the current delivery agenda on-track, ensure programs of work planned in the next 6 months deliver on time and within budget.
  • Work very closely with the HR business to help complete the evaluation of the SaaS migration options. An intensive series of workshops is underway and there is a senior Director assigned by the business to lead the program. Large-scale business process change necessary to optimise the potential benefits from the migration, so rigorous functional analysis is necessary. In addition, in many areas, processes are highly bespoke and have been customised over numerous years, so the cultural change involved in migrating to new simplified processes is very significant. In addition, the banking industry and the regulatory environment have changed dramatically in recent years, so there are heavy external pressures.

The skills and experience needed for this position are:

  • Subject matter expertise in, or at least good familiarity with, Human Resources functions in large complex organisations
  • Experience of planning and managing large, challenging, multi-stream programs
  • Experience in defining strategy and architecture for large application platforms
  • Experience of vendor relationship management and in particular of the RFI/RFP process and contract design
  • Broad technical expertise and experience of managing application development
  • The ability to work in close partnership with peers and colleagues at various levels in the organisation
  • The ability to influence through liaison, debate, negotiation and collaboration, but being able to combine these approaches with a determination to drive specific outcomes in tight timeframes
  • Experience of working within an international organisation, with sensitivity to different cultures
  • Strong organisation and administration skills
