For our client in Zurich we are looking for a Business Analyst/Requirements Engineer

Scope of Work:

  • supports business in its duties through IT support and document it to provide a common understanding between the client who use the application and the IT people who built, test and maintain it now and in the future
  • understand business drivers and what needs to be delivered from a business point of view
  • obtain understanding of and commitment to requirements
  • develop, manage, estimate dimensions and consolidate information on the requirements of the projects customers, products and product
  • components according to the requirements engineering process
  • identify synergies, redundancies and inconsistencies between the requirements and the projects plans, work products, business strategy and the overall context in applicational and technical architecture
  • elicit and elaborate requirements
  • model and Document requirements understandable for clients and subsequence roles within IT
  • ensure that specification of the users needs is accurate, complete and unambiguous
  • maintain traceability between requirements and between requirements and requests
  • identify impact of changes on the existing requirements
  • provide inputs to a first test strategy for the application
  • provide input to the Project Manager for prioritizing requirements

    As the ideal candidate you have the following qualifications and experience:
  • university degree or similar education preferably in information technology or information management
  • requirements engineering experiences within financial institutions of > 5 years
  • good understanding of financial instruments
  • Sound Knowledge in US-Withholding processes: QI (Qualified Intermediary) Chapter II and III.
  • Good knowledge reporting for US-Persons and US assets
  • solid theoretical understanding and practical experience of use case modelling (UML) in IT projects
  • deep knowledge of securities, single accounts, FX and forward contract transactions processing incl. corporate actions
  • well banking-knowhow about tax, primarily Withholding Tax (Austria), EWT
  • experience in using tools like JIRA, Polarion, Enterprise Architect 9.x
  • background in software development processes/life cycle
  • project management experience
  • distinctive analytical thinking, well structured, solution-oriented, autonomous, propulsive, proactive, flexible, able to work under pressure, communicative, insistent, responsibly
