For our banking client based in Zürich we are currently looking for a Project Portfolio Manager
Languages: Fluent German and English required.
Department overview:
Our ambition is to make the Finance, Operations & IT Division the most effective and efficient division in the industry. That includes supporting the CFO in making the right strategic decisions about the direction of the bank, the investments we should make and how key challenges such as simplifying complexity can be achieved. Special focus will be on cost reduction and completion of our regulatory initiatives (ie making IT cheaper, faster and better).
The project portfolio management (PoM) team in Zurich is looking after a number of specialised project portfolios.
Role Overview and responsibilities:
Primary role and responsibilities include:
Support the divisional PoM lead in managing day to day operation for a variety of project portfolios (programs and projects grouped by customer base).
Coordinate activities with resources supporting respective Change Group (client) from an Information Flow, Best Practice and Methodology perspective as defined and agreed with the Tools and Standards team.
Manage resources to support PoM team, specifically:
Book of Work Management/Demand Management/Prioritisation
Portfolio Reporting
Performance Management
Investment Committees and review boards
Document Management
Planning and Tracking
Risk and Issue Management
Change Control Management
Dependency Management
Process Management:
Documentation
Identify opportunities to streamline/optimize
Work with CoE in Wroclaw to facilitate near shoring of common services
Quality management, specifically:
Status audits
Quality Assurance
Capture of project metrics
Special tasks (eg ad-hoc reports, senior management presentations, etc.)
Other requirements:
Several years of experience in portfolio management, eg as PMO or Financial Controller
Service oriented, reliable and committed personality
Flexibility in mind and ability to drive and implement change
Fluency in English and German both verbal and written
Ability to contribute to a high-performing, motivated workgroup by applying interpersonal and collaboration skills to achieve project goals and realize value
Experience with Clarity PPM
Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
Ability to work independently
