For a global bank based here in Zurich we are searching for a Support Analyst to join the team.
Description:
- The Senior Support Analyst role is for a Subject Matter Expert on systems within the Zurich team.
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level support of the Portfolio of applications in various environments.
- Ability to support multi-tiered environment
- Application process Management
- Management of infrastructure, continual process improvement.
- Management and Mitigation of Production Incidents.
- Performance and Capacity management
- Application deployments and Configuration in all supported environments
- The successful candidate needs to be good communicator effectively in English, both spoken and written.
- Candidate will work effectively within the global support group and development groups within Investment Banking and other divisions of the bank on a daily basis.
We are looking for candidates with:
- A degree in Information Technology/Software engineering.
- + 3 years of technical experience supporting time critical applications.
- An independent worker who prefers to remain a high level technology specialist.
- Willing to learn and adapt to new technologies and an aptitude for all levels of Support work.
- Understand and respond appropriately to the needs of internal clients who are encountering systems difficulties related to software
- Use technical and analytical expertise and knowledge of systems to resolve problems internally or through outside vendors and manufacturers.
- Specialist level of knowledge on Unix, Unix Scripting and programming skills, Wintel OS exposure.
- Any exposure to additional technologies such as Middleware IBM MQ, Tibco RV, EMS and MSSQL would be advantage but this is only a nice to have
- Accustomed to working in international and multicultural teams
- Maintain the bank's standards and professional approach, especially when under pressure
- Manage client expectations, build relationships and communicate effectively with both business partners and other stakeholders
- Excellent verbal communication and listening skills
