For a client in Zurich we are currently looking for a Project Manager.
Project Description:
ALF (Actuarial Landscape Finance) is a program to bring the actuarial processes and systems on a new level. It includes the implementation of a managed hosted solution for actuarial modelling, the improvement of the actuarial models for group and individual life portfolio, the enhancement of data feeds, the evaluation of solution options for eliminating technology risks stemming from an outdated system, and the implementation of a data warehouse for actuarial data. This project manager is responsible for the operational management of the 'Local Actuarial Landscape' project - as part of the ALF program - and ensures that the overall project objectives are clearly defined and met.
Responsible for project planning, executing, monitoring and reporting; adequate resource planning and management; request evaluation and authorization, as well as review of cost estimates including supplier estimates, as well as all the financial aspects of the project including managing of project budget, forecasting and reporting actual and forecast expenditures. Coordinates delivery of work products from all parties involved; liaises with the customer and function.
Job tasks:
Leads and directs the project planning effort
Leads the project team and coordinates the work effort
Manages the risk of execution and change, reporting to program management
Has overall responsibility for project risk management and establishing effective controls
Accountable for the completion of all project management deliverables as defined in the Project Management Framework (ZPMF) to required level of quality
Presents updates in program management meetings
Facilitates the delivery of the project solution to support the benefits realization phase
Tracking key project metrics, issues, risks, changes and to produce monthly status reports
Project manages teams with internal members and external providers.
Experience/Professional Qualification:
University level education desired
Project management qualification (preferably PMI)
Several years of experience as a project manager, preferably in projects implementing data warehouse solutions
Working experience in insurance and/or finance industry advantageous
Fluent spoken and written German
Good spoken and written English skills
