Job Description:
- GCRS SAP BeX expert user
- Set-up new or change existing SAP BeX 3.5 queries to include new regulatory or external reporting requirements brought forward by IFRS/SNB/FSA on behalf of Group Accounting and Parent Bank Control
- Bring new or changed GCRS queries into the production system following a tight report administration process which ensures that all reporting changes are made in a controlled fashion following development system, test system and production system promotion steps to ensure correct regulatory and external reporting of and parent bank financial results also according rules stipulated by external audit
- Obtain sign-off for all new or changed reports by the respective report owner in Group Accounting and Parent Bank Control
- Provide GCRS reporting support and training to the GCRS reporting users in Group Accounting and Parent Bank Control
- Expert role in the project team for the upcoming upgrade of the SAP BeX reporting tool to SAP BeX 7.0 and supporting an IBM Cognos BI Front End.
- SAP BeX expert user able to deploy SAP BeX 3.5 to set-up queries and reports out of GCRS.
- SAP BeX 3.5 is a complex reporting tool which is as such not self explanatory and uses an old "look and feel" but on the other hand is very flexible and versatile. As a result report set-up with
- SAP BeX 3.5 requires a deep understanding of the reporting tool.
- The GCRS data model is very complex and specific. The reporting record delivered by the delivering legal entities contains 160 attributes and the Group and parent bank regulatory and external reporting including reporting by business division is derived from a combination of these attributes in an SAP BeX 3.5 query. To be successful in creating new reports or amending and updating existing reports it is crucial that the GCRS data model including the rules and principles is fully understood to an expert level.
- Working experience in a Controlling/Accounting environment of at least 5 years, most preferably in the financial services/banking industry, with a good understanding of financial data and structures and regulatory financial reporting
- Good communications skills and the ability to interact professionally with onshore analysis and reporting teams and with reporting teams in the offshore hub
- Ability and willingness to work towards the sustainable improvement of processes and output quality
- Strive for accuracy and timeliness in deliveries of reporting capability
