Lead Requirements Engineer (RE) for the FATCA Project
Our client, a major international bank, is currently looking for a Lead Requirements Engineer (RE) for the FATCA Project.
Role overview:
- supports business in its duties through IT support and document it to provide a common understanding between the client who use the application and the IT people who built, test and maintain it now and in the future
- understand business drivers and what needs to be delivered from a business point of view
- develop, manage, estimate dimensions and consolidate information on the requirements of the project's customers, products and product components according to the requirements engineering process
- identify synergies, redundancies and inconsistencies between the requirements and the project's plans, work products, business strategy and the overall context in applicational and technical architecture
Key Deliverables:
- As lead RE, coordinate a RE team, define work packages and assign them
- As lead RE, ensure high quality of the work products and a consistent end-to-end requirements view for the project
- elicit and elaborate requirements
- model and document requirements understandable for clients and subsequence roles within IT
- ensure that specification of the user's needs is accurate, complete and unambiguous
- maintain traceability between requirements and between requirements and requests
- identify impact of changes on the existing requirements
- provide inputs to a first test strategy for the application
- provide input to the Project Manager for prioritizing requirements
- supports testing phase by giving input, review test strategy and test cases
Mandatory education/experience:
- university degree or similar education preferably in information technology or information management
- well banking-knowhow about tax, namely FATCA, Transaction Tax, Final Withholding Tax or European Withholding Tax
- requirements engineering experiences within financial institutions of > 8 years
- solid theoretical understanding and practical experience of use case modelling (UML) in IT projects
Beneficial experience:
- experience in using tools like JIRA, Polarion, Enterprise Architect 9.x
- background in software development processes/life cycle
- understanding of financial instruments
- knowledge of securities, single accounts, FX and forward contract transactions processing incl. corporate actions
Languages:
- very good English and German (w/s)
