Java Developer
Edelway SA is a Swiss IT Services Company. Our global Banking client based in Ticino region, Switzerland, is currently looking Java Developers to join them on a long term basis.
YOUR ROLE:
The role is providing both development (75%) and 3rd line support (25%) functions for the client's systems, consisting of a number of high-profile global web applications, with a user base running to several thousands.
MANDATORY SKILLS:
*4+ years of experience as a core Java developer
*Experience with common Java frameworks eg Spring, Struts
*Solid Front End web development
*Knowledge and understanding of current best practices in Java development
*Demonstrable experience of good OO design and programming
*Minimum of 3 years of experience of application Servers esp. Oracle WebLogic
*Minimum of 4 years of DB experience
*Experience with all phases of the systems development life cycle
*A solid understanding of standard change control policies and procedures and experience working in an IT environment with rigorous change control procedures
*Fluency in English
NICE TO HAVE:
*Awareness of test-driven development and design
*Experience of working in a continuous integration environment
*Datamodelling experience
*Sybase ASE (15) experience
*SQL Server 2008 experience
