Harvey Nash is looking for a Senior TRD Sourcing Manager (Devices) for a 5 + month project in Switzerland.
The role is to improve and manage the Technical R&D sourcing category Device Development to deliver high value sourcing solutions to support device development projects and platform technologies up to market launch and to realize year-on-year incremental productivity improvements, cost savings, and process improvements together with TRD line function.
You are responsible for Supporting development of a sourcing strategy for the category Device Development in Novartis TRD. Developing and implementing innovative sourcing strategies for the assigned category to enable the TRD functions to meet its productivity improvement and savings targets and creating full spend transparency (spend baselines, KPIs and metrics) and establish efficient business processes in line with clients' needs and according to applicable regulations Ensuring appropriate choice of key suppliers to device development projects and platform technologies to meet immediate TRD project goals but also secure clients' long-term interests upon commercialization Initiating, negotiating and executing contracts and agreements relevant for the category including commercial terms, intellectual property and confidentiality. Ensuring compliance with all legal, ethical, and procurement standards Managing key supplier relationships through appropriate programs (eg alliance management, supplier relationship management) to enable innovation and cost containment through mutual accountability and trust; ensuring that the Category Management and Supplier Relationship Management processes are followed as a key business process Requirements
Broad technical and pharmaceutical development understanding and experience for at least 3 to 5 years Business experience in purchasing/sourcing or business development/sales for at least 2 to 4 years University degree or equivalent (eg BS or BA, PhD and/or MBA preferred) Experience in the development of medical devices, and/or experience with device consultancies or device developing companies would be an asset Proven ability to lead complex projects and deliver results with cross-functional teams Excellent written and verbal communication skills with successful presentation capabilities and negotiation skills Excellent team work in a multidisciplinary environment with strong customer focus English, other European languages (desirable) Are you available immediately, have experience working within a Life Science company?
