For a six month project at our banking client site in Zurich, we are looking for aSenior Migration Engineer w/ Splunk (2032)
The engineer will be part of a team migrating Splunk version 4 to version 6.
The version of Splunk at our client site consists out of 10+ components that needs to be adjusted or fully re-created.
Engineer Splunk 6 components
Build packages in Linux RPM Format
Create and execute manual and/or automated tests
Check Firewalls
Updated / adjust current code fragments in Bash, Python and Java
Code reviews with feedback
Your qualifications:
Bsc / Msc in Computer Science or relevant working experience
3+ years in IT Systems & Software Engineering
Experience working in a large enterprise
Unix, Linux /At least one Object Oriented Language (e.g. .NET, JAVA, C++, etc.) /None
Log management know how (Splunk preferred)
Understanding of networks, code versioning
Experience in the area of security in general
Very good English skills (able to negotiate / communicate with stakeholders)
German is an advantage, but optional
You're a good communicator in general and have experienced negotiation skills and you have a team-oriented attitude.
