Contract: Migration Engineer Splunk 4 to Splunk 6 (f/m) - Job ID 56776

Responsibilities
- The engineer will be part of a team migrating Splunk version 4 to version 6.
- Splunk consists out of 10+ components that needs to be adjusted or fully re-created
- Engineer Splunk 6 components
- Build packages in Linux RPM Format
- Create and execute manual and/or automated tests
- Check Firewalls
- Updated / adjust current code fragments in Bash, Python and Java
- Code reviews with feedback
Requirements
- Very important: must have knowledge in Splunk 4 to Splunk 6 and/or with Log Files (Log Management)
- Bsc / Msc in Computer Science or relevant working experience
- 3+ years in IT Systems & Software Engineering
- Experience working in a large enterprise (Banks in Switzerland preferred)
- Unix, Linux /At least one Object Oriented Language (e.g. .NET, JAVA, C++, etc.) /None
- Log management know how (Splunk preferred)
- Understanding of networks, code versioning
- Experience in the area of security in general
Languages
- English - fluent or mother tongue
- German - advantage
