My Zurich based client is urgently looking for a Lync Consultant for a 3-6 month contract, you will be tasked with the following -

* Planning/preparation/execution of the migration from Legacy chat systems (Mindalign, Interchange) to Lync Group Chat

* Planning/preparation/execution of the migration from Legacy hosted live meeting platform to LYNC

* Planning/preparation/execution of Vantage policy enforcement

* Planning/preparation/execution of the move of Swiss LYNC Pools from Green to Red Zone [CH Role Only]

* Bring system changes into production and performing initial implementations

* Implementing high-risk changes

* Server build and production readiness/QA

* Production-side project management with engineering team Additional Responsibilities

* Resolution of 3rd line application and system support issues

* Following defined problem management processes for service outages

* Troubleshooting root cause of problems through liaison with vendors and engineering team Essential Hard Skills

* Minimum 3 years 3rd line UC support experience in a large global organisation

* Strong project experience and understanding of processes

* Strong understanding of LYNC 2010 including experience of installing and configuring

* Strong understanding of Vantage (Actiance Product) including experience of installing and configuring

* Strong understanding of Vantage compliance policies

* Understanding of LYNC/Vantage Archiving technologies

* Strong troubleshooting skills with a proven record of resolving serious system problems through vendor liaison

* Understanding of Windows 200x, Active Directory

* Experience with Microsoft clustered SQL Servers (as used by LYNC)

* Documentation experience (procedures, system topology, operational run-books etc) Desired Hard Skills

* 3rd Line Mindalign support experience

* Understanding of Solaris/Linux O/S

* Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical ideas and document reports and procedures.

* Good customer focus and experience of working for demanding customers in a high-pressure environment.

* Experience of working for a global financial organisation

* Ability to communicate with people from all levels of the organisation
