Randstad IT Professionals is actively looking for a Requirements Engineer for one of our major clients, a global bank, for their site in Giubiasco, Ticino.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

Requirement Engineer for Trading Limit Systems (Derivative Risk Management for FX derivatives):

  • Elicits, analyzes, documents and validates business requirements, conditions and priorities within an application development project in the Credits Domain
  • Ensures that specified requirements are transmitted entirely and correctly to the development and test team members by writing clear and detailed functional specifications
  • Supports developers and testers by resolving business issues that come up during the technical implementation
  • Support the test team in testing activities when necessary
  • Provide standard requirements engineering deliverables (Use Case Model, Use Cases, Business Rule Specifications, Screen Specifications, Non Functional Requirements Specifications, Project Requirements List) on time and with high quality and ensure business signoff
  • Effort estimations and task planning for Requirements Engineering related project tasks

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATION

  • Master degree university level (preferably in IT or Banking)
  • 6 + years of experience in requirements engineering in application development projects
  • Funded know how and practice in derivatives and FX products as well as in risk and exposure calculation
  • SQL knowledge
  • UML knowledge/experience
  • XML knowledge
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Strong communications and customer orientation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Soft skills to handle stakeholders with different background (Business Project Managers, User Representatives, Programmers, Offshore resources, Testers etc.)
  • Experience in banking or finance industry

NICE TO HAVES

  • Experience in international projects
  • Degree level qualification in computing
  • Business engineering education and/or certificate
  • FRM certificate
  • Excellent database skill or experience in data warehousing - experience in programming
  • Subversion or CVS
  • Motivation to contribute to process improvements in an interesting environment
