Skills & Experience:
- Expertise in Cisco network operating systems and hardware, both IOS and NX-OS.
- Experience with CheckPoint Firewalls.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols: VRRP, HSRP, VxLAN, IPSec, NetFlow.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals and commonly-used routing protocols (OSPF and BGP).
- Experience with Wireless (WLAN, 802.1x) management and technologies.
- Network certifications (CCNP, CCIE) or equivalent work experience.
Desirable: experience with Cisco VoIP.
Roles & Responsibilities :
The consultant will:
- Perform scheduled configuration changes to network Switches and Routers, Firewalls and wireless devices.
- Migrate the core network, routing and Firewalls from the current on-premises server room to a planned co-location data center.
- Provide quality documentation.
- Coordinate and liaise with offshore company resources from the Linux, Server, and Networking towers to ensure the farm gets delivered as well as documented for ongoing production.
