For one of our client we are recruiting a Lead Component Tester.
The Lead Component Tester is an experienced, senior tester who is responsible for Component Test specification, execution and significant contribution to component test strategy, approach and component test planning. As part of the Component Test Execution team, the Lead Component Tester is involved in the execution of tests and the analysis of results. NB This is intended to be a 'hands on' role, leading by example the specification and execution of the component test plan.
Skills
- Demonstrable, hands-on experience of test automation and test tools
- Financial Services experience
- Strong team working, communication and problem solving skills
- Test execution, specification and planning.

Tasks:
- Test specification and execution (the primary tasks circa 80%)
-Specifies, implements and executes the component test cases
-Keeps contact with the partners from internal departments and other project workstreams
-Interaction with the component teams, integration test and system test teams during the relevant project phases
-Raises and re-tests defects Coordination, planning and reporting 20%
-Contributes to the "Component Test Strategy and Approach" and "Component Test Plan" documents
-Keeps the Component Test Plan up-to-date by collecting planning and status information from Component team members
-Sets-up and publishes up-to-date reports of the Component testing status
-Attends the Bug Board on an 'as needed' basis to participates in decisions and discussions of the board
-Reports test results Other: Financial market knowhow and experience Capable of working independently in high-performance team. Must be a self-starter and quick to learn. Working with the development team as a whole to ensure the look and feel of the design is correctly developed and verifies that the result matches the client's specifications and expectations.
