For a contract in Zurich, we are looking for a Reinsurance Business System Support Analyst
Reinsurance Business System Support Analyst serves the company global user base (Underwriting, Underwriting Support, Claims, Technical Accounting and Finance) in incident and problem management, as well as change request/system enhancement analysis and training of their business applications. These include transactional applications (SICS, custom-built Reinsurance Workstation, custom-built Client Management application on the basis of Microsoft Dynamics CRM).
The position holder is actively interacting with users to share knowledge, handle open task items while applying professional communication etiquette to provide efficient and effective support to all business users and offices worldwide. Close communication and coordination with other business system support units and IT groups is required to ensure predictable and transparent service delivery, both hands-on and customer-centric.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Responsive and resolution-oriented Incident/Problem Management
*Ability to analyze change requests to understand the true business need and impact beyond just the specified request
*Active support of configuration changes, releases, patches and hotfixes and day to day operations (eg monthly close, interface monitoring); coordinate with IT infrastructure and development staff
*Provide direct user assistance & training
*Support the expansion of initiatives in line with business priorities and goals
*Willingness to occasionally be available in off-hours to handle major incidents or releases
REQUIRED EDUCATION/TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:
*Required, 3+ years practical work experience in Reinsurance environment
*Required, 5+ years of overall business analysis experience
*2+ years of experience with the SICS application incl. Multi GAAP module and reporting capabilities (Business Objects, SQL)
*Experience working with technology staff at all levels (developers, database administrators, application experts)
*Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
*Customer-oriented with a services background
*Strong interpersonal relationship, team-building, collaboration & facilitation skills
*Very strong problem-solving and analytical skills with minimal oversight and dependence
*Personal time management skills and ability to meet individual and team deadlines
*Seeks to expand knowledge and experience and is committed to continuous learning
*Used to working in a global environment and as part of virtual teams
