Swisslinx is searching for a fluent English speaking Junior Application Support for a 6 month contract with one of our clients based in the finance sector in Zurich.
The roles and responsibilities required by this position will be as follows:
- Provide 1st and 2nd level technical support for various trade floor applications
- Working within a team of a maximum of 8 people providing both office hours and on-call support on a 6 week rotating basis
- Work with all 3 levels of support to appropriately deal with and escalate potential technical issues at the correct level
The ideal candidate will be degree educated with a solid understanding of Unix and an understanding of Unix processes and file handling; an understand of SQL and DDL is also required. You must be able to work in a high pressured environment, be a fast learner and be searching for a long-term career. In order to be considered for the role you will have had experience providing support for various trading platforms such as Reuters and Bloomberg, for example.
