Position: Desk Side Support Analyst

Location: Morges, Switzerland
Salary: euro 35 per hour

Hours: 40 hour week - standard working hours

Role:

DSS Analyst is required to work at our client site in Morges, Switzerland in a 2nd level Desk Side Support role.

Technical requirements:

  • Install, configure and troubleshoot hardware such as laptops, workstations, printers, phones, audio/video conference units and mobile devices

  • Support audio/visual solutions, Windows, Mac OSX, Linux and remote VPN (virtual private network)

  • Troubleshoot WAN (wide area network)/LAN (local area network) and TCP/IP (transmission control protocol/Internet protocol) connectivity issues across a variety of technologies

  • Support Clients security standards (anti-virus/anti-spam/Firewall/patching)

  • Initiate and track service requests with Clients third party vendors

  • Work with a variety of Clients teams to identify and resolve issues

  • Maintain user account information (including access rights and group memberships)

  • Maintain passwords, data integrity, system access and security for desktop technologies

  • Participate in on boarding and training new Desktop Support team members

  • Participate in on boarding and training new hires on Clients IT standards, etc.

  • Act as the subject matter expert in one or more desktop technologies

  • Support and maintain asset inventory

  • Provide Smart Hands support on behalf of Clients infrastructure teams (nights and weekends must be scheduled in advance)

  • Execute and support of global project rollouts

Essential experience/Qualifications:

  • Preferably educated to degree level or equivalent

  • MCP's advantageous

  • Experience in a Desk Side Support role or similar

  • Networking skills and an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems

  • M/S office

  • Anti Virus software support awareness

  • TCP/IP awareness and understanding

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Ability to work in EU

  • French and English language requirements

Desired:

  • System administration experience

  • ITIL awareness

Any experience in the following roles is also advantageous:

DSS Support, Roll out Engineer, 2nd Level support, System Administrator
