Senior Financial Analyst
Our client, an international IT company, is currently looking for experienced Financial Analyst for a contract role based in Zurich.
These are very challenging and stimulating roles due to varied nature and complexity of problems.
Responsibilities:
- Partners with the businesses to ensure that the capital strategies are operationally supported and strategically focused to secure the greatest return on investment for the global company.
- Gathers financial data and performs financial analyses and reporting (eg, profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow, pricing, etc.) to influence decisions within the business and to drive cross-business initiatives (eg, Mergers & Acquisitions).
- Drives the forecasting process (weekly, monthly, and long term) by analysing trends within the businesses and ensuring alignment with business- and corporate-wide objectives.
- Communicates and drives adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the organizations financial goals and policies.
- Has the fiduciary responsibility to represent financial results correctly both internally and externally.
- Ensures strong business controls.
- Master: Unique mastery and recognized authority on relevant subject matter knowledge including technologies, theories, or techniques.
- Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas.
- Successfully operates in the most complex disciplines, in which the company must operate to be successful.
- Provides highly innovated solutions.
- Routinely exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and criteria for achieving objectives.
- Develops strategy and leads large, cross-division functional teams or projects the affect the organizations long term goals and objectives.
- May participate in cross-division, multi-function teams.
- First level university degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree or accounting certification (eg, CPA, MBA) strongly preferred.
- Typically 10+ years of experience as a financial analyst.
- Typically experienced in a variety of finance functions.
- Thorough level of knowledge of tactical accounting/financial analysis.
- Exposure to specific specialty financial area at this level is highly desirable.
