For a long term contract with a banking client in Zurich we are urgently looking for aSAP FI/CO consultant focused on customizing and financial accounting (1974)
Responsibilities:
Our client continues to assess the need for and feasibility of changes to the legal entity structure in light of regulatory trends and requirements.
Among these are regulatory requirements addressing the "too-big-to-fail" (TBTF) issue, which will cause financial institutions to modify their legal entity structures to facilitate resolution in the event of a failure.
Our client intends to establish a new banking subsidiary.
You will work in a small and flexible team and support the SAP-team which will work closely together with the Accounting team. The ability to familiarize quickly and independent with new topics (especially financial accounting and reporting including relevant IT infrastructure) is a prerequisite for this challenging and interesting job opportunity. Timely delivering in good quality standard is critical. Activities are performed in close collaboration with Accounting colleagues.
Tasks:
Ensure complete, accurate and auditable accounting (financial and operational accounting) for the balance sheet of the parent company in Switzerland
Work on the supervision, accounting, plausibility check and commentary of the balance sheet items and provisions (for credit risk, operational risk, restructuring & other)
Produce internal reports and regulatory Statistics with plausibility check and commentary
Prepare for audits and SOX compliant documentation
Collaborate with internal partners (including operational risk, treasury, controlling and front-line units)
Support the SAP-team on the project
Requirements:
BA or MA degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business computer sciences
Professional experience in accounting in a financial environment (Financial Accountant)
Ability to customize SAP FI/CO
Very good written and spoken German and good English
Working experience and computer skills (MS Office, Access, Excel)
Business analyst with profound SAP-knowledge
Project management skills
