For a six month project with continuation option at our banking client site in Zurich, we are urgently looking for aDatabase Engineer (1948)
We are looking for a person with a broad technical foundation and good analytical skills to support us in the role as an integrator and 3rd level supporter for a number of our applications.
Task & Responsibilities:
In the role as an integrator the following tasks
Support us in installing software in our test environments using the UBS tool (ELVIS)
Support us in analysing issues in the test and production environments
Support us in reproducing production issues in the test environments
Support us in testing the frontend of the applications
Required Experience / Skills:
(Including language and soft skills)
Broad technical skills in the areas of
Unix, including basic scripting knowhow
Websphere Application Server
Java (on a level that enables you to understand WAS logfiles and analyse stacktraces)
Oracle knowhow, including SQL and basic PL/SQL
Must be able to see and understand the dependencies between different application modules implemented using different technologies
Basic testing skills required
A certain curiosity is required, in order to be able to understand our applications
High degree of autonomous working required
Fluent in English is a must, German skills of advantage
Good communication skills are required, since there will be a lot of stakeholder management required for the tasks listed above
