WebSphere System Administrator
Our client, world leader in the banking services, is currently looking for a WebSphere System Administrator. For this contract position based in Zürich in Switzerland we are looking for an English (German an advantage) speaking candidate who can start as soon as possible.
Responsibilities:
- Administering, maintaining, enhancing and implementing system changes from
small components, to entire complex systems infrastructure, adhering to the established industry
standards - Monitoring and controlling of the performance and status of the infrastructure and the physical
- Ensures that the operation of the infrastructure is in accordance with established procedures and practices
- Take action if the infrastructure availability, integrity or performance is compromised
- Work closely with technical teams in the support
Required Experience/Skills:
- Several years experience in WebSphere Application Server administration in a demanding technical environment, preferably in the financial industry
- Strong knowledge of IHS, Apache, Tomcat
- Excellent UNIX Administration knowledge (Solaris & RedHat would be an advantage)
- Good understanding of aspects of connectivity using web services or messaging
- Experience with Performance Monitoring applications (ex. Wily/CA Introscope)
- Excellent communication skills in English, German would be an advantage
