The System:
* RCS is a planning system for the control of the traffic transportation on the railway network
* RCS is a Client Server application with Real Time content and highest availability requirements (7x24)
* The server part consists of about 35 Java processes
* RCS integrates data from multiple systems and has a high level of technical complexity.
* The team RCS platform is responsible for the operation of RCS, release management, coordination of all testing activities in the RCS program, development support, and construction and operation of all development and test environments
Responsibilities:
. Manage productive problems
* Ensuring a high-performance, efficient operation and optimum productive use of the
application
* Management of the activities in the event of a major incident
* Management of the incident process and coordination of all activities related to Remedy
* Coordination of all activities on the production environments, such as productions' deployments or error analysis and correction
* Planning and coordination of technical changes that involve system architects, system engineers, and DBA
* Implementation of deployments on the integration environments
* Coordination of activities and planning as part of the release process with the release manager
* Participation in the design of business organization and management of 2nd and 3rd level support
* The AOM provides the interface to the provider and agrees all activities with him, this includes the negotiation of contracts
* Line 2- weekly operation meetings
* Tracking of operational documentation
Requirements:
. 5 or more years of professional experience as Application Manager or a similar role
* Strong technical background with respect to system architecture and operation of Java applications on Linux
* Experience in large projects and high-availability applications
* Expertise in Linux and good knowledge of ITIL
* Ideally, experience with Java and databases
* German and French spoken and written
* Service customer-oriented attitude
* Good team and communication skills
