For our client, a Swiss renowned private banking institution in the Geneva region, Swisslinx is seeking an experienced and focused Senior Java Developer.

This is a contract role, start date May 2014.

Senior Java Developer (100%), Contract, Geneva region

In this challenging role, you will be responsible for performing technical analysis and development of new functionalities on the company's Portfolio Management System. You will be actively involved in the continuous integration, testing and quality management.

Your main tasks will also include providing support to the lead developers and the project leader in the different development phases, understanding the functional requirements and ensuring on time and high quality delivery to the users.

In order to be considered for this role you are required to have the following skills:

- 5 years' experience in Java development

- Java (Swing, Spring, EJB 2.x, JPA, Hibernate)


- Web Services (SOAP, REST)

- Oracle DB expertise would be an advantage

- Banking know-how (Portfolio management & analysis)

- Higher education degree (EPF, university or equivalent)

- Swiss national or C permit or B permit (min 3 years), resident in Switzerland

- Fluency in French, conversational English
