My client, a world renowned medical device organisation based in Switzerland is seeking a Product Manager with a solid background in the medical device industry and a strong understanding of market planning and development, forecasting, financial analysis/budgeting and overall marketing management.

Overall responsibilities:

Manage the initiation, development and market launch of new and existing product lines.

Position duties and responsibilities
- Analyzes the positioning of the company's products and competitors to identify strategies for differentiation and increased sales and market shares
- Participates or leads in product development projects, including market research, product data management, forecasting and pricing, promotion materials, market preference evaluations, etc.
- Develop global product strategy
- Assures information exchange between internal and external partner, eg Operations, PDEs, Regulatory Affairs, Design Transfer, Sales and Subsidiaries, US, Surgeons, AO, etc.
- Performs the required activities and generates the appropriate product development documents to ensure compliance with national and international regulations related to medical devices (in particular EUMDD, US FDA, Japanese PAL)
- Ensures product support for existing products, eg Trainings, Catalogue, Promotion materials, Presentations
- Develops concepts for and organize/held product trainings for sales people
- Establishes and maintain relationships with experts in the field (eg surgeons)
- Supports product portfolio management
- Actively manages product portfolio through the whole life cycle
- Maintains awareness of surgical trends through involvement with or support of AO expert groups within the TK system and other expert bodies
- Comes up with specific project proposals
- Performs other special projects and functions as assigned by the group manager
- Know and follow all laws and policies that apply to the job, and to maintain the highest levels of professionalism, ethics and compliance at all times

Job profile

Education
a) Bachelor or Master of Science in Business Administration plus 1-2 years practical experience

Other education and professional experience
-Solid understanding of market planning and development, forecasting, financial analysis/budgeting and overall marketing management
-technical understanding
-Knowledge and experience with new product development and introduction processes
-min. 1,5 - 2 years experience as Associate Product Manager
