Senior System Architect
Edelway is a Swiss IT Services Consultancy. One of our clients, a large multinational company based in Basel, is now looking for a Senior System Architect for Migration & Consolidation Projects on a long term basis.
Location: Basel
Working language: English, German is a plus
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Full time engagement until end of Dec 2014 with possible extension.
THE ROLE:
* Drive definition, optimization and standardization of the IT architecture for global services within the Program.
* Manage a group of System Architects and System Engineers as a team lead.
* Analyze technical architecture to ensure the proposed architecture is fully compliant with architectural policies and roadmap as well as with Data center Governance.
* Analyze and assess technical feasibility for proposed architecture. Provide consulting for the implementation of new systems architectures.
* Identify risks (operational and compliance) around the proposed architecture and ensure identified risks are logged, followed up, and closed in a timely manner.
* Focus on implementing new systems architectures according to agreed schedules.
* Stay in touch with the restrictions for changes set by the business-related conditions and the technical framework.
YOUR PROFILE:
* Minimum education: University degree or adequate equivalent.
* Leadership: ability to think strategically, enable co-team members, and engage with business/service owners.
* + 5 years of proven architectural experience in a data center domain role in a global company.
* GxP/SOX: sound knowledge of validation practice.
* Knowledge of the Pharma Industry is a true asset.
* Ability to cope with project and operations complexities, ambiguities and Matrix organizations.
* Ability to work in an international as well as multicultural environment.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Flexibility and experience in prioritizing tasks.
* Ability to work in team and deal with variable workload.
* Experiences with project management, MS Office Tools and MS SharePoint.
