For our banking client based in Zurich we are currently looking for a
Senior Project Lead - (experience 5 - 8 years)
Tasks:
Stream lead for
o transparency/analysis
o review and identify opportunities to streamline IT platform
o identify potential to automate manual workarounds
o Build program service team
o Business project lead function
Required Skills
o either IT affinity/knowledge (ability to interact and challenge IT)
o Qualified project management experience
o Stakeholder communications
o Strong data analysis skills
o Very good English, German nice to have
o Tax knowledge may be an advantage for all roles, but is not mandatory
Situation:
Upcoming of various new tax regulations (eg FATCA, Automated Information Exchange) are putting more pressure on financial institutions worldwide to adapt fast.
In 2013 implementation of different tax types (eg KEST, CTR, FTT, FWHT) causing next to new IT systems numerous manual workarounds.
In parallel fast ramp up of Tax Ops organization and new organizational set up with the aim to become more process-driven.
Many task forces still running - no stable overall plan.
Current tax governance within bank leading into friction losses.
Implementation of tax solutions are costly and not generating additional income, hence pressure on cost charging by Front Organization increasing.
Project scope: Operations-contribution for:
Structure Tax Operations (incl. sizing and skill status)
Mandate Tax Operations
All tax types/services currently processed in organizational units and handling of future taxes
Tax Operations Service Offering towards Front/Market Mgmt
Manual workaround review
Currently implemented IT Target Solution
Support Model
Dependency Matrix
