For our banking client in Zurich we are looking for immediate support in the form of aSoftware Developer w/ Unix, Perl and PL/SQL (1780)
We are looking for a good "all-rounder" software developer to support a strategic project, which provides a Windows Server 2008 based platform for mathematical and statistical calculations.
The platform is a highly complex system with many servers, integrating different technologies Very often we are early adopters of new technologies.
As a developer you are working closely with the project team and the infrastructure engineering teams. You support us in various UNIX and DB development tasks – Oracle, PL/SQL, Perl, KSH, Solaris packaging. Additionally, much of the platform is implemented on Windows Server 2008 so you will also be implementing and troubleshooting stuff on Windows in PERL, BAT files, Powershell.
To be successful within the team, you need to be flexible with the technologies you are prepared to work with, plus be willing to pick up the ball and run if a task involves a technology you may not be totally familiar with.
The team also provides third level support to end users of the platform and you will be expected to assist with solving of problem tickets.
Experience required:
• Several years of experience with UNIX (ideally Solaris/OLU in the UBS environment)
• Several years of experience with PERL, Shell Scripting, Java
• Several years of experience with Oracle and PL/SQL programming
Mandatory Skills:
