SAP APO-DP Technical & Functional Consultant
SAP APO-DP Technical & Functional Consultant is required for our client in Zug, Switzerland.
They are offering a 6 months contract to support the DP projects (Mosaic Integrated Business Planning/Distributor Planning Template) in 2014 and provide input for the detailed design, the review and the presentation of APO solutions. As a key responsibility, you will coordinate and execute the technical implementation and configuration of a new template for an APO DP environment, following business requirements and in collaboration with the other members of the project team. As a technical implementation manager, you will have the responsibility for the SAP system configuration and ABAP coding, involving all relevant parties (eg IT technical team, IT QA, Business).
You will evaluate program feasibility; describe and analyze information requirements in a workflow chart and diagram; build prototypes. You will design, implement, analyze, and modify systems for various applications. You will work with users to define system requirements and resolve problems. You will confer with user departments to identify business functional needs, and to troubleshoot and resolve software problems. You will write functional specification and debug programs to comply with user needs. You will design and run test routines, protocols, and performance queries. You will also design application programs to minimize run and response times.
The candidate will also support the project leaders in the oversight and report for requested project tasks, including all aspects of business analysis, development of requirements and system implementation. Particularly, his/her support will be focused in providing inputs in the technical area.
Working together with DP Stream leader and business project manager, the technical implementation manager will focus on the following goals:
Design and management of the implementation of solution including system configuration and ABAP coding
Coordinate and manage the implementation of technical and functional solution
Respect the company's process methodology, following SDLC requirements and STF way of working, especially for the implementation of changes
Manage the testing through the path to production, supporting also the UAT
Manage technical & business cutover activities.
Provide direct support to end-users. This activity may include direct contact and training
Minimum experience required:
- Minimum 5 or 6 years of experience in APO area as technical ABAP developer
- Valuable experience in the design of technical solutions for SAP scenarios, mandatory is also the experience with technical developments in APO-DP
- Experience in more than one APO DP implementation
- Experience in roll-out and template implementation for APO, including advanced modules of DP (that experience must come from direct implementation, roll-out and/or solution design) for the following modules
- Consumer companies experience will be a plus
- Experience in R/3 module preferable
- Fluent English, written & spoken
- Must be located in Europe or EMEA region
- Visa-ready for travel in EU and Switzerland
- Mandatory a personal interview
Mandatory & preferable skills:
- Profound skills in configuration of APO-DP and integration with APO-SNP
- Multiple experiences in the implementation and roll-out of APO planning solutions for DP
- Knowledge in Statistical Forecasting, SOP process and Business Planning
- Knowledge in Alerts, Macros and Planning Books/Data views
- Knowledge in BW and R/3 is beneficial
- Knowledge in ABAP programming is beneficial
