Job Description
Working closely within a data focussed team this role is the primary point of contact for SOX and data protection matters. You will be responsible for supporting and advising the SOX process and control owners and IT colleagues on all SOX related matters. This includes scoping, documentation maintenance, the identification and remediation of SOX relevant issues, and the quarterly attestation process. This role is also responsible for testing the Design Effectiveness of the IT departments Control Activities processes and the Operating Effectiveness of financial reporting controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and managing a team of 4 SOX Analysts
- Participating in technology and business projects
- Creating agreed policies covering the capture, storage and use of the banks data
- Fulfilling subject access requests
- Advising on solutions to mitigate data protection and PCI compliance risks
- Coordinating all IT aspects of SOX external/internal reviews and audits.
- Working with the data team to identify any data protection/PCI/SOX compliance
- risks with work being undertaken.
- Developing and managing plans to improve and implement SOX and data protection
- controls around IT systems and processes.
- Ensuring that any risks are reported immediately and summarised weekly to the Data
Key Requirements
- Candidates must have 4+ years related experience ideally within Banking
- Strong knowledge of SOX, internal controls, business processes and accounting standards
- Strong analytical skills
- Management experience
