Admin system Linux
For our client based in Lausanne, we are looking for an Admin system Linux.
Start date: January
Duration: 6 months to start with
You will manage day to day operations of the underlying infrastructure for the bioinformatics solution.
Tasks description:
- Working with vendor to ensure backups, hardware and network are working effectively
- Manage storage (NAS, SAN, DAS)
- Manage software environment (new package installation, user environment, software version management - multiple versions avail simultaneously)
- Monitor and report on overall system health
-Manage in depth the job dispatcher/grid - time to learn/training provided
Skills and experience:
- Problem determination/diagnostics
- Operational problem tracking with vendors
- Automation (script writing, monitoring)
- Solid experience in at least THREE of the following:
- RHEL experience,
- Virtualisation,
- Job Despatcher (eg MOAB TORQ SGE LSF),
- High Throughput Cluster (aka HPC)
- (IBM) Intel based hardware:
- GPFS
- TSM
