For our client, a globally active Swiss firm headquartered in Zürich, we are looking to staff a Program Management Office (C&C). (Contract – w/m)
Tasks:
• Responsible for delivering (periodically or on request) reports, presentation and other concise overviews on the relevant IT Security portfolio aspects to management (e.g. financial aspects, project milestones, risks/issues, benefits realization, etc.).
• Monitoring of, reporting on and enforcement of project portfolio compliance.
• Act as coach for program managers
• Provide expertise to project managers and PMOs regarding financial tools and processes.
• Assistance to management regarding the design and implementation of project/portfolio management processes and associated tool support as required.
• Reliable processing of recurring financial services (such as invoice payments).
• Assist project managers with the root cause analysis of cost deviations (forecast vs. actuals)
• Continuously improve the portfolio management processes/tools/templates and share knowledge with the IT PMO community.
• Effective communication of assignments and guidelines to the project managers
Must Haves:
• Solid experience in project management best practices. An appropriate certification is required - preferably PMI and/or RUP.
• Strong stakeholder management and communications skills are essential in both English and German as the PMO is often the public face of the program organisation.
• Very good understanding of MS Excel features in combination with efficient self-learning capability to enhance skills as required.
• Capability to deal with various financial tools in order to develop into the subject matter expert role for those tools.
• Affinity for financial numbers, ability to summarize the key message of large amounts of data.
• Excellent documentation, communication and presentation skills.
• "Get-it-done" and continuous improvement attitude to proactively fix errors or omissions if required
