For our customer, we are looking for a Project Management Officer.Performs and prioritizes Project Management Office related tasks in response to both internal and external demands and delivers them to the reporting schedules.
Plays an active role in improving the transparency of the respective program portfolio.
Ensures appropriate governance procedures are followed prior to the commencement of projects in the portfolio.
Controls and monitors the progress of approved projects within program.
Improves efficiency of lower level PMOs by sharing best practices and supporting them in developing governance and local project portfolio management capabilities
Key Tasks and Accountabilities
• Performs qualitative and quantitative reviews of project and/or program deliverables.
• Ensures Quality Assurance requirements are met.
• Provides training in project management, tools and techniques.
• Improves project/program delivery in terms of lower costs, reduced time and increased product quality by providing program/project management expertise
• Enforces standard project management framework and tools
• Increases visibility into project / program status enabling correct decision making and actions to be taken more effectively
• Improves control over the project governance processes (e.g. CITO, PAP)
• Centralizes a consistent, and up-to-date reporting to all stakeholders
• Supports project portfolio management for the respective area
• Supports Program Manager as well the Project managers in any tasks
• Special support for Financials Control may also at request
• Actively contributes to the Zurich PMO network

Need to know
Qualifications / Experience
To your university degree or equivalent experience within business administration (Finance) or IT environment (preferably SAP) you will also add at least 2-3 years experiences as a Project Management Officer. You will have experience of working within Financial Services preferably in insurance company within an outsourced IT environment would be an advantage.

Knowledge
Methodology:
Strong methodology knowledge to analyse and structure a complex environment.
Strong knowledge of MS Office products
Knowledge of PMP / SDLC project management methodologies
Communication:
Clear, understandable and structured communication depending on recipient level.
Ability to reduce complex situation into graphical presentation slides
Language:
Fluent spoken and written German and English
Technical Skills
• Awareness of financial accounting, budgeting, forecasting and controlling
