For a client in the financial area in Zurich we are currently looking for a Project Manager - Data Warehousing

The ideal candidate should lead with an extended span of control to coordinate a team to deliver a specific software change and act as the central coordination point for the program and entry window to sub-department.

What we expect from you: Detailed planning for 2014; WBS project task, deliverables, resource and resulting cost plan, tracking PPM allocation of planned resources, Remedy/SwanXP CR gathering, project change request, project change request list, meeting minutes, review reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Creation and maintenance of the document deliverables; coordinating the team to delivery against committed plans, ie, agreed artifacts before or at the agreed times using no more than the agreed financial resources;
  • timely communication of risk and issues and tracking such to resolution;
  • adequate information flow between stakeholders;
  • coordinating and overseeing development activities;
  • resolution of impediments for engineering team;
  • critical judgment of requested timeline and deliverables; contribution to monthly PSR. Decision authority: Staff selection and recommendation;
  • define task sequence and priorities; escalation of any risk or issue to internal system program;
  • in agreement with internal system program changes to overall project management and organization incl. charter and financials;
  • rejection/acceptance recommendation of change requests;
  • meeting requests (taking priority over all other meetings of selected SMEs for the duration of the project) and steering. Establish knowledge in the sub-department

Required Skills:

  • Very skilled in project management incl. planning, controlling, financial management
  • Good communication skills and ability to coordinate a wide range of stakeholders
  • Good negotiation skills and ability to convince others
  • Fast learner
  • Good presentation capabilities
  • Good knowledge and understanding of DWH Architecture
  • Knowledge of DWH technology as Oracle, Informatica tool set
  • Experience of implementing complex requirements in a DWH environment with many dependencies
  • Understanding of bank applications, processes and interdependencies
  • Understanding of typical data and data access security concepts
  • German Fluent; good command of English
