Role:
Within the Business Intelligence Department, the BI Operation and support specialist will ensure the run of all the BI services, monitoring the application, supporting the business and ensuring the 2nd and third level of support
Main responsibilities:
Run - BI support and services
Support the business to understand the available BI products
Understand possible discrepancies highlighted by the business and explain it when it's possible
Analyse the assigned incidents
Propose corrections
Develop patch to fix the incidents
Propose BI enhancements
Delivery - Solution Analyst
Define the logical modeling
Transform the logical to physical model rationalization
Support the business requirements analysis
Rationalize the multiple data quality rules to a single logical model
Identify the use of abstract principles and determining the overall modeling approach to be used
Provide the functional and technical specification to the developer
BI Developer (ETL specialist)
Understand the data structure and meaning in both source and target BI systems
Identify data sources
Assess data sources
Create source/target mappings
Apply business rules as transformations
Design and develop the solution following the best practices
Perform the unit test and the regression test
Work with production data to monitor and report on data conditions and quality
Knowledge and Professional skills:
* Many years experience in data warehousing and dimensional modelling
* Many years of proven professional experience and expertise in ETL development
* Many years of previous relevant professional experience in Business Intelligence, ideally as a consultant
* Many years experience in Data warehouse development and implementation
* Very good skills in SQL and PLSQL
* Fluent in French and English (written and spoken)
