On behalf of our client, one of the most established financial institutions worldwide, Swisslinx are looking for an experienced Unix Application Developer to manage the non production environment.
This is a six month contract with a strong chance of extension based in Zurich, Switzerland.
Unix Application Developer, Banking (Zurich, Contract)
Scope of work:
- OTC treasury team requires a Team member who will be part of the TESTING and Environment Management team
- Develop and understand Shell Scripts, PERL scripts to maintain the non-prod environment.
- Develop and understand CTRL+M scheduling/tasks
- Develop and understand Oracle SQL and PL/SQL Scripting
- Experience with Murex Infrastructure activities, running EOD Batches, DB Archiving
- Understanding with Infrastructure Procurement process, gathering data for reporting system slowness/identify low performing process
- Co-ordination with Oracle DBA's, Unix Admins on issues encountered during day-to-day activities and short-term/long-term improvements
Skills:
- Good in communication, interpersonal skills and very good team player
- Experienced in Financial Industry is a plus
- Knowledge of ITIL is a plus
- Education: Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science or Information Technology
- experience: 5 to 7 years' experience in Environment Management
- systems/programming languages/databases: Unix, Oracle, IBM MQ, SVN, Java
- technology: JAP, CTRL+M
- languages: English, German is not mandatory but a plus
- social skills: Interpersonal skills that keeps him/her cool at stressful scenarios
