For a long term project at our client site in Zurich, Switzerland, we are looking for an experienced
Java Application Developer (1571)
Environment:
The platform is a modern, high-speed, multi-threaded, Java-based distributed system, built on Service Oriented Architecture and high-speed, low-latency proprietary Middleware.
The Order Management System, interface components and ancillary services are developed primarily in Switzerland, but with offshore teams also contributing in an agile development methodology. The system uses Linux Servers and PC-based GUI applications.
Task & Responsibilities:
The environment requires hands-on energetic programmers with the ability to provide technical and business expertise to the team and the wider programme. We require self starters that can understand business requirements, analyse and design pragmatic and effective solutions on strategic architecture and enable the wider team to deliver solutions through to production.
Required Experience/Skills:
- Advanced OOP in Java, UNIX (Linux), Relational DBs
- Highly experienced in developing Front Office trading applications
- Various libraries and tools: Tomcat, MQ, JMS, Hibernate, JAX, XML, SOAP, Apache Libraries and Commons, Utils, NIO, Java 1.5 and 1.6 Xtras, Concurrency API's
