On behalf of our client, one of the most established financial institutions worldwide, Swisslinx are looking for a dynamic FX Support Analyst with strong Unix/Windows skills to work in a fast paced trading environment.
This is a six month contract with a strong chance of extension based in Zurich, Switzerland.
FX Support Analyst, Unix/Windows (Zurich, Contract)
- Provide professional 1st/2nd Level Support (technical facing) for FX Applications (Currency Exchange Markets, Money Markets, Derivatives) core and associated upstream/downstream applications.
- Work within max 8-person team providing office hours and on-call support. On-call rota would be 1 in 6 weeks
- Work & liaise with 1st Level Support, 2nd level Investigations and 3rd Level Support/Development teams and associated Unix, Windows, Database and others as appropriate
- Specific duties will be split between primary RTB work and secondary CTB project work (preparation for production go-live, testing and preparation for deployments)
In order to be considered for this position, you will be able to support applications in a low-latency trading environment and possess the following skills:
- Unix applications (WebLogic + bash Scripting) as well as a basic understanding of Unix processes and file handling (log files etc)
- Windows based applications including web applications hosted on IIS
- Database querying (SQL) and an understanding of relational-database DDL
- Dealing with business queries within the trading & sales environment in a high-pressure business
- Ability to be able to communicate across a wide spectrum of stakeholders including senior managers within the business and IT
- Ideally you will have experience in performing trading support within an FX environment for a financial services organization
- Keen learner and someone who is seeking a long-term career
- English language essential (German nice to have)
