Senior .NET Developer for Global Investment Solutions

Project environment

Global Investment Solutions (GIS) team within Investments IT builds multi-asset, multi-currency portfolio management solutions which are used across all regions within a Major Swiss Bank's Global Asset Management. This Bank is looking for an experienced senior software engineer with experience in the financial services industry, who is committed to building world class software for the global GIS team.  The contractor will work closely with the investments area, project manager and other members of the development team, as well as business analysts, architects and infrastructure staff members.

Tasks

Responsibilities include:

  • Architecting, analysing, designing, developing and implementing software solutions from small components to entire applications, to owning the development of software solutions spanning multiple complex systems.
  • Adhere to the established life cycle methodology and practices (Agile SDLC), in accordance with project plans while carrying out responsibilities.
  • Other responsibilities include analysis of current programs including performance, diagnosis and troubleshooting of problem programs and designing solutions to problematic programming.

Requirements

  • 7+ years proven professional development experience
  • 3+ years in financial services industry, preferably in Asset Management
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or similar

Technical skills

  • Microsoft .NET (C#), WCF, WPF, MVVM, Prism, relational database design (SQL Server), Informatica
  • SCRUM Master certification

Soft skills

  • Self-motivated, ability to operate autonomously and work under time pressure
  • Strong and effective inter-personal and communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients and staff
  • Fluency in English
