Establish softphone capabilities into our existing Office 365 Lync 2013 landscape for a control group of early adopters. Deliverables/output's will be used to validate business case assumptions for a broader Global enablement/deployment of softphone capabilities, asses training, communication and migration requirements (end user and technical teams) and validate reduced mobile roaming costs.
Enabling Lync softphone will solidify our Unified communication vision providing key capabilities for remote, travelling users to seamlessly make and received external calls using a Lync softphone and for fill our requirement to provide a single UI for IM, Chat Presence, Voice, Video, Web and Audio conferencing.

This will involve the following primary functions/activities
1. Manage, execute and support user migration from their current telephony solution to Lync Softphone.
2. User training and awareness of Lync Softphone capabilities,
3. Configuration where required, headsets, Lync end user settings.
4. Provide end user support level and break fix for Lync softphone related issues.
5. Define and document User Migration Process for pilot (on-boarding/off-boarding)

Requirements
1. Strong customer focus and communication skills. In addition, candidate must be able to fluently speak English.
2. Comprehensive understanding of Windows 7 and Windows 8 operating systems, management, configuration and troubleshooting.
3. Experience in level 2 and 3 technical support roles.
4. Strong general technical awareness and understanding of core infrastructure (DNS, Network, Security.)
5. Previous experience using, deploying or managing Softphone solutions or similar technologies.
6. Lync 2010 and 2013 experience is desired.

Supporting Window desktop Environment 3-5 years
Supporting softphone solution 1-3 years
Break-fix support 3-5 years

ITIL certified and Process Management  experience
