Senior Linux Administrator: Linux, Redhat, RHCSA, ITIL, C++, Perl
The place:
We are looking for an experienced Linux system administrator who is responsible for the care of the Linux systems in a scientific environment. They take large parts of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd level support for the Linux server Back End and the computational grid and develop these platforms continuously. Additional content is the design and supervision of the monitoring solution, configuration management, and ensuring the interoperability with the operating systems Windows, MacOS and Solaris.
Your Profile:
To meet these diverse and demanding work requirements, we expect at least 3 years professional experience in Linux system administration (RHEL), sound knowledge in programming or in Scripting languages (bash, Perl, Python, C/C + + or Java), in the configuration management (CM Puppet, CFEngine) and experience in the areas of system monitoring ( Centreon, Nagios), virtualization (KVM, Xen) and Distributed Computing. Ideally you will with a university degree or higher professional education in the field of computer science. Subject-specific certifications (ITIL, RHCSA, LPIC) and experience in the storage area is an advantage. You maintain a very good style of communication in direct support and supervision of scientific projects. Since you will be working in an international environment, good German and English are essential.
