FINANCE & OPERATIONS MANAGER - LUZERN AREA - FINANCIAL SERVICES INDUSTRY

The COMPANY

Our client is a trading firm having an international activity and reputation, going through an interesting development phase. In order to support the business and to ensure the management of the financial activities and operations, they are looking for a CFO, who will manage all the financial and operational side of the business.

The scope of the role includes broad responsibilities within the office, being in charge of the financial administration, compliance & risk HR and IT departments.

The JOB

You will report to/work closely with the CEO and your main duties will be:
  • Ensuring the efficient management of the finance and accounting activities, including support in consolidation
  • Supporting and leading the following departments and their members (4 people team) :risk, compliance, HR and accounting
  • Cash management, forecasting, budget follow up and analysis, capital management
  • Ad hoc financial reports, management reports and regulatory report (FINMA,BASEL)
  • Exclusive point of contact with auditors, regulators, authorities and tax advisors
  • Being responsible for the smooth running of mid office & financial operations
  • Ad hoc support to the CEO, accordingly


The REQUESTED profile

They are looking for flexible and passionate people, having an entrepreneurial and hands-on attitude, willing to be part of the launch of an office and the set up phase of a new business.

The ideal candidate must have:
  • A Degree in Finance +min. 6 years of experience in Finance Management, preferably in trading/asset management/market maker or securities markets
  • Solid numerical and analytical mind
  • Exposure to Risk, Compliance, Legal, Regulatory and Tax matters
  • Team leading (ideally), strong communicative and written skills (both in English and German)
  • IT minded, experience with financial systems and applications
  • Driven, hard worker and hands-on attitude
  • Flexible and results minded, team player
  • Previous experience inSwitzerland+ Swiss/EU passport (or Swiss permit)


Start date: end of 2013.
