Desktop Patch & Technical Release Manager
Our client, a major Financial Services company, is currently looking for an experienced Release Manager with a strong banking background and good knowledge of desktop patch and technical release management.
Main Tasks & Activities:
- Coordinate and manage the planning of all desktop patch and technical releases for region Switzerland, partnering with product & engineering teams, and in alignment with other deployment regions
- Review and provide sign off on scope of releases
- Produce and manage detailed plans of releases from UAT through to deployment, ensuring global alignment and risk mitigation, agreeing the plan with all stakeholders
- Oversee UAT testing and run global checkpoint calls to ensure results are reviewed globally and provide signoffs to release readiness for deployment
- Deliver additional projects in the desktop services area in support of new service transitions end to end
- Apply project management methodologies to plan and coordinate releases within region, whilst applying the change management policies
- Consistently produce and track progress of regional deployment plans and schedules
- Highlight areas of improvements and implement quick wins
- Effectively manage the Matrix of stakeholder groups to resolve conflicts
- Represent regional interests in global meetings
Skills and Experience Required:
- ITIL Foundation: Excellent know-how in Service Lifecycle Management. Design, build, maintain, monitor IT services.
- IT Infrastructure know-how: Know the IT environment/structure, the standard offerings and platforms, the tool chains and the interfaces.
- Knowledge of client systems management (Marimba)
- 5-10 years of project management experience
- Engaging personality, excellent communication and presentation skills
- Excellent attention to detail, highly organised and a capable coordinator
- Ability to coordinate successfully with a global team and stakeholders in a highly matrixed environment
- Knowledge of SwanXP/ServiceNow change management tool
