Storage and Monitoring Specialist
Edelway SA is a Swiss IT Services Consultancy. One of our best clients, a global multinational Bank based in Geneva, is currently looking for an English speaking Storage and Monitoring Specialist to join them on a long term basis.

Location: Geneva
THE ROLE
*Monitor and maintain infrastructures for all customers in EMEA and Asia, and work with vendors to resolve complex hardware/software issues.
*Mentoring and working as part of a close knit team
*Demonstrate leadership in attitude and demeanor
*Troubleshoot issues and work with internal customers to effectively resolve them
*Produce effective analysis on solutions
*Be involved in pre-implementation and support of new applications.
*Stays current with emerging technologies related to respective technology domain.
*Work with the Global counter-parts to create, implement and maintain best practices
*Execute regularly required maintenances for patches and upgrades, etc
YOUR PROFILE
*Extensive experience in Storage (SAN/NAS) administration.
*Extensive working knowledge of EMC Symmetrix, NetApp and Cisco hardware
*Extensive experience with implementing and managing monitoring and reporting solutions (Foglight, HPSIM, Tivoli).
*Excellent understanding of Security and Risk assessment
*Advanced knowledge of VMware and virtualization
*Advanced knowledge of Fiber Channel network
*Advanced knowledge and understanding of troubleshooting, testing, and performance tuning
*Experience with Veritas Netbackup
*Experience with DataDomain
*Knowledge of EMCs products
*Knowledge of databases an asset.
