For one of our international, financial services clients in Zurich, Swisslinx is urgently seeking a very strong Software Architect who can drive the overall architecture in a very complex Greenfield project.
In this role you will be working within the Private Banking Division of our client, where they have started to implement a detailed internal product pricing & discount solution for their Sales Force which will be integrated into the relevant Back End system in order to replace an old solution and integrate the new system into the overall system landscape.
The new solution will be used on a .NET platform, using C#, Silverlight, SQL Server, Webservices and Kerberos (Security).
You will work very closely with the responsible IT PM and provide him expertise on the technical side and help him in liaising with the various stakeholders. That includes technical deliverables such as architectural concepts and documents mainly related to enhancing the Software Architecture Definition (SAD) and get the necessary approvals.
This solution has a wide range of components and views implemented, each of them are being handled by different stakeholders and are generally supervised by the central architecture teams; that implies, that a crucial part of your role will be about aligning all stakeholders, bring them on-board, discuss advantages & disadvantages, facilitate mutually agreed solutions before starting the approval processes.
When starting, your first task will be to catch up on the UI and product calculation logic and to understand the correlations with other products. You will need this to understand where the client's at with the architecture and how the system works, before driving the architecture further to fill the gaps. Additionally, as this is a heavy meta-data driven project, you will ideally also participate in required Datamodelling parts (development as such is not expected).
In order to be considered for this contract, we are seeking a team-oriented, passionate and committed candidate who covers the following requirements:
- University Degree
- Senior Software Architect with experience in implementing and deploying large Systems in large and complex environments
- .NET Development background is a strong asset.
- Track Record in transaction processing, data persistency and system integration
- Very strong communication skills for the interaction with IT & the business
- Experience in MS OLAP Technology and MDX is a plus
- Undetsanding of State Machine based Workflow implementation is beneficial
- English only
