Our CLIENTOur client provides specific IT and IT system services to banking and finance industry.
In order to reinforce their Legal expertise, they are looking for a Legal Counsel/Advisor, who will be based in the greater Zurich area, at the Corporate HQ.
In direct report to the Head of Legal you will provide support to business units and provide pre-contract review, follow up on all contracts and participate in negotiations with external parties.
The ROLE
As an independent specialist and self-starter Legal Advisor, your responsibilities will be to:
- Support the business and ensure their activities are compliant with contracts in place and with the internal corporate structure
- Support the business in negotiations of non-standard contracts
- Ensure approval from all departments for non-standard contracts
- Legal consultation to senior managers on contracts, including sales and documents, RFPs, RFIs etc
- Administration tasks include tracking of all contracts and archiving of documents
- Ad hoc legal project
The REQUESTED profile
We are looking for a candidate having the following skills and expertise:
- Degree in Law/Business Law
- 2-5 years experience in a similar role or within a law firm for example
- Exposed to similar topics (within an industry that includes goods/products circulation like import/export or FMCG or e-commerce, etc.)
- Ideally being familiar with IT system legislation-software licensing
- Fluent in English and in German (nice to have)
- Strong team spirit and results oriented
- Professional, work ethic and negotiation skills
- EU passport OR Swiss passport is a must, with a Swiss permanent residence
