Remote Access Specialist

The successful candidate will have expert knowledge and experience architecting remote access infrastructure using Microsoft Threat Management Gateway (TMG) and/or Juniper SSL VPN appliances to support mobile device access.

Main responsibilities:

This position is filled by a third party contractor that works 100% capacity on design and construction of our remote access technologies supporting both Business to business application access of application publication rules and processes for our Microsoft TMG reverse Proxy Servers and Juniper SSL VPN Appliances. The consultant assists with our mobility projects and activities, including the new reverse Proxy architecture, the existing remote connectivity solutions used for remote applications access, B2B customer access, and our Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution. B2E Applications include internal applications, for example, Lync, e-mail (Exchange), the Nest, Sustainability App, Directory, Gazette, Communicator Web Access, BMB, Hamilton, NewsPage, MDMS, etc. The consultant provides direct input into our Remote Access strategy and roadmap. S/he works with the operations teams to manage, end to end, all new developments, major upgrades, and architecture changes via the IT Change process. This position is responsible for gathering functional requirements and translating them into technical requirements. The consultant works with customers to ensure they develop functional test plans and execute functional testing as part of the IT Testing process.
