Project environment

A Swiss Insurance Company is searching for a technical lead / architect to help further develop and refine the area of Systems Management, specifically IT monitoring and event management.

Tasks

• Define roadmaps and target architecture for systems management (primary focus on IT monitoring and event management).
• Take the lead in architectural workshops in relation to IT monitoring and event management.
• Develop strong and productive relationship with key stakeholders to ensure requirements are fully understood and technical documentation appropriately reflects the business process/need.
• Ensure that key capabilities are integrated into key internal processes.
• Explore, develop and make proposals regarding IT CAB relevant topics.
• Define, implement and measure the effectiveness of a responsibility matrix with regards to Service Operation topics -- with a specific focus on monitoring and event management topics; acceptance and adoption of the RACI by operational teams.
• Develop concepts and submit change requests for fixing gaps (technical, process and information) in the Service Operations landscape that can be implemented by the subsidiary operational teams.
• Refine the application introduction process (e.g. how is a new application brought into the landscape) and the handover process that is repeatable and measureable with regards to "Service Operation" tools.

Requirements

• 5+ years in a financial / insurance environment.
• 10+ years systems management experience, with a primary focus on architectural relevant topics and skills.
• Understanding and experience across a typical Re/Insurance / Investment Banking / Financial Services technology stack.

Technical skills

• Strong IT architectural skills.
• Strong understanding of ITIL.
• Strong Documentation Skills.
• Extensive experience with IBM Tivoli and other systems management toolsets (BMC, Microsoft, HP, etc.).

Soft skills

5+ years multinational experience (ability to work well with varying nationalities).
